March 6, 2007Box ScoreRochester College scored four runs in the top of the seventh, all with two outs, to rally for a 10-7 win over Northland in Cocoa Beach, FL.The LumberJacks got on the board in the bottom of the first. With one out, Michael Cross (Auburn, WA) reached safely with an infield single. Matt Tanneberg (Kennewick, WA) singled sharply through the left side on the next pitch. After a flyout, Chris Panabaker (Wiggins, CO) delivered an RBI single to left field for an early 1-0 lead.The Warriors scored in the top of the second, but the LumberJacks grabbed the lead back in the bottom half. Andy Finco (Hibbing, MN) led off with a single to left and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Jeremy Snow (Tucson, AZ). Casey Frantz (Charlotte, MI) then brought Finco home with an RBI double.John Strausser (Shamokin, PA) pitched well through the first three innings, but began to tire in the fourth. Rochester began the inning with a walk and a hit-by-pitch. After a flyout, the Warriors took the lead on a two-run triple and would push the lead to 4-2 after a sacrifice fly.Northland clawed right back. Snow led off the inning reaching first on catcher's interference. Frantz followed with a bunt single to give the Jack's two one with nobody out. Bryce Szymanski (Pequot Lakes, MN) brought both home with a triple down the right field line. Cross brought home Szymanski with a single to left and scored himself on a Tanneberg double to right center. After a popout, a walk to Panabaker and a wild pitch to allow Eric DeCaires (Brownstown, MI) to reach first, Finco gave the Jack's a 7-4 lead with a sacrifice fly.Rochester scored two more runs in the fifth to pull within 7-6. In the seventh, the Warriors got the lead-off batter aboard after a walk by Frantz. Tanneberg then came into pitch and got an out on a sacrifice bunt and the second on a popout to short. With a 1-2 count, the Warriors #9 hitter brought home the tying run with a blooper into short center. Rochester then strung together four more hits to take a 10-7 lead and then retired the Jack's in order in the bottom of the seventh.Cross, Tanneberg, Finco and Frantz all had two hits for Northland (1-2). The LumberJacks continue their seven-game trip with a doubleheader against Point Park University on Thursday morning at 10:00 AM eastern standard time.
