Box Score vs EasternPlay-by-Play vs EasternThe Northland College baseball team survived a wild affair to edge Eastern 13-12 during their game in Florida on Thursday.There was plenty of offense on both sides during the contest, as the teams combined for 24 hits and six errors for the game.Eastern scored twice in the first and four times in the third to take a 6-3 lead after three frames.Eastern expanded their edge to 8-4 by scoring once in the fourth and once in the sixth before adding two more in the seventh to take a 10-4 edge into the bottom of the frame.But Northland answered back with seven runs in the bottom of the seventh to overtake Eastern for an 11-10 lead.Eastern would score twice in the top of the ninth to retake the lead at 12-11. But the Jacks would score two in their half of the inning to hold on for a dramatic 13-12 win.Joe Lopjersberger got the win for Northland after relieving John Strausser and Jason Jarrell in the ninth.Offensively, Northland was led by Cody Carroll's 4-for-4 whosing with four RBIs. Brandon Frechette added three hits while Kyle Rogers, D.J. Feil and Chris Panabaker each had two hits.
