Box Score vs UPJPlay-by-Play vs UPJThe Northland College men's baseball team dropped an 11-7 decision to the University of Pittsburg-Johnstown on Thursday in Florida.Northland got off to a fast start in the first, scoring four times to open up a 4-0 lead heading to the bottom of the inning.Pittsburg-Johnstown scored a single run in the bottom of the first before Northland scored one in the second for a 5-1 lead after two.But from there, Pittsburg-Johnstown scored four times in the third, once in the fourth and five times in the sixth to pull away for the win.Junior Dan Ruud took the loss on the mound, pitching 5.2 innings while allowing 10 earned runs. Brandon Frechette finished up for Northland.Offensively, Northland was led by freshman Cody Carroll with two hits and an RBI. Sophomore Myles Buuck added two hits and two RBIs for the Jacks.
