Box Score vs Penn State-BehrendPlay by Play vs Penn State-BehrendThe Northland College Lumberjacks lost a close game to Penn State-Behrend in Florida this Tuesday. Penn State-Behrend scored nine runs while the Jacks came up a little short with eight total runs. During the first inning, Travis Wederstrandt, a senior from French Settlement, LA, came in to score the LumberJacks first run. Penn-State Behrend aswered back by also scoring one run.The LumberJacks went on a scroing streak during the second inning, bringing in a total of five runs. Corey Boe, a senior from Redwood Falls, MN, was walked by the Penn-State Behrend pitcher. Then Jason Jarrell, a freshman, and Wederstrandt both hit singles to load the bases. Cody Carroll, a freshman from Shawano, WI, was then walked to bring in the first run of the inning for the Jacks. Kyle Rogers, a senior from Hammond, LA, hit a hard fly ball out to right field but it was dropped by the Lions. This brought in another run for the Jacks. DJ Feil, a senior from Swift Current, SK, then hit a hard single to bring in two more runs. Then Chris Panabaker hit a single to bring in the last run of the inning for Northland. Northland College scored two more runs, one in the fifth inning and one in eighth, to end the game with eight runs. The LumberJacks will play a double-header tommorrow against Elizabethtown College. Both of these games will be webcasted.
