The Jacks got off to a good start when they jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second when Corey Boe scored an unearned run on Chris Panabaker's sacrifice bunt. Crown answered in the top of the third when Olson scored on the RBI by Jones. The score remained locked at 1-1 until the eighth inning, when Crown took a 2-1 lead.The Jacks kept their hopes alive in the bottom of the ninth. With Brandon Frechette on second base with two outs, Jason Jarrell had a beig two-out base hit back through the middle to plate Frechette and send the game to extra innings. However, with two out and no one on, the Storm got a double and a single to regain the lead. Northland had hope in the bottom of the tenth when Cody Carrol was walked with two outs, and advanced to second on a balk. But Crown retired the Northland batter to pull off the victory. The LumberJacks fell to 10-14-1 on the season, 4-8 in the UMAC.
