Northland Baseball gathered several honors as the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference announced the All-Conference Team. Matt Tanneberg was named to the 20 member All-Conference First Team and was also named Co-Rookie of the Year. Brad Schoenman, Mike Stevens, and Cody Carroll were all named to the Honorable Mention Team.Matt Tanneberg, the son of Terry Tanneberg, is a freshman 1st baseman and pitcher from Kennewick, Washington. Tanneberg leads the team in hitting, with a .396 batting average and 38 hits and is second in runs with 23. He has a slugging percentage of .562 and an on base percentage of .500, both team highs. In pitching, Tanneber is third on the team with and ERA of 6.05, he has pitched 19.1 innings this season and has a W-L record of 0-3. He has played in all 30 games this season, starting in 29. In addition, Tanneberg has a fielding percentage of 1.000 with 186 put outs and is among the team leaders in both doubles and triples with six and two respectively. Brad Schoenman, the son of Art and Shari Schoenman, is a freshman pitcher from Longmont, Colorado. Schoenman leads the team in pitching with a 4.25 ERA. He has had 10 appearences on the mound with eight starts. In 55.0 innings, Schoenman has allowed just 45 hits and 35 runs, 26 earned. He has struck out 37 batters while walking 34.Mike Stevens is a junior from Cadillac, MI and plays at 2nd base for the Jack's. He is second on the team in hitting, with a batting average of .333. Stevens has played in 21 games this year, starting in 20. He has compiled 22 hits and 14 runs to go along with six doubles. Stevens also has the second highest slugging percentage on the team (.436) and is 4-4 in stolen bases. In addition, Stevens has a fielding percentage of .945.
Cody Carroll, a sophomore shortstop from Shawano, WI, is the son of Jed and Lynn Carroll. Carroll leads the team in runs and doubles with 24 and 10 respectively. He also had two homeruns on the season. He leads the team in RBIs with 23 and has a batting average of .307. Carroll has played, and started, in all 30 games this season. He also has a fielding percentage of .961 and has compiled 153 put outs this season.
