Dave Beeksma is entering his second year as a full-time member for the athletic staff and third year as the Northland College Cross Country Head Coach. He competed in Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track at North Dakota State University from 1983-1987. In addition to being a collegiate athlete, he has completed five marathons under three hours and has competed in three Classical Cross Country Skiing marathons. He is currently completing a Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology from The Fielding Graduate University and works in the Ashland community providing mental health services. Coach Beeksma has a strong passion for competitive running and has high expectations for his student athletes both on the race course and in the class room.Coach Beeksma lives in Ashland with his wife, Kathy, and has four step-children: Jenny, 18, Becca, 15, Nathan, 11, and Amanda, 9.
