Rob Robinson begins his fourth season as Head Coach of the LumberJacks. Over the last three seasons the jacks have compiled the most wins over a three year stretch in the last ten years and have made strides to move the program back to the level of excellence that it had in the late 1990’s. Coach Robinson began his coaching career at Northland in 1994 as an assistant for the men’s basketball team, helping them achieve back-to-back 19 win seasons and an appearance in the 1996 NAIA National Tournament. In 1997, he was named Head Coach of the Northland’s Women’s team. Coach Robinson led a turnaround of the program that had won only a combined eleven games in the two previous seasons, producing five UMAC championship teams and two NAIA National Tournament appearances.Coach Robinson is an Ashland native who had a successful playing career at. Mount Scenario College. During his career, Mount Scenario won 117 games including an NSCAA National Championship in 1991. “I have been around many great coaches during my career,” commented Coach Robinson, “and have been able to learn from each and incorporate that into my philosophy to hopefully make me a better coach.”Rob resides in Ashland with his wife, Diana, and daughters Breann (14) and Rebeka (11).
