NORTHLAND CAREER: Freshman (2007):  appeared in 30 games, starting 29...hit .228 with 21 hits...tied for first in walks (16)... .383 on base percentage...hit first two collegiate homeruns on April 9th against Crown College...Pitching:  led the team with a 5.33 ERA, going 1-3 with five starts throwing 25.1 innings...first collegiate win was on May 5th against University-Minnesota Morris, throwing a four hitter.

SZYMANSKI'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER:
Five-year letter winner and starter at Pequot Lakes High School...8th Grade (2001-02):  started eight games at second base, named rookie of the year...Freshman (2002-03):  hit .200, with 18 RBI's and 18 stolen bases... appeared in eight games with a 2.1 ERA...Sophomore (2003-04):  hit .418...led the team with 29 RBI's, three homeruns and 23 stolen bases...appeared in 10  games with a 1.9 ERA...named Co-MVP...Conference Honorable Mention...Junior (2004-05):  hit .320 with 21 RBI's and two homeruns...led team with 22 stolen bases...appeared in 11 games with 1.8 ERA...received All-Area Player of the Week and All-Conference Honors...was named Co-MVP, Most Valuable Defensive Player, Most Valuable Pitcher and recieved the Gold Glove Award...Senior Year (2005-06):  hit .340 with 21 RBI's and stole 22 bases...appeared in 13 games with 1.42 ERA...was named Co-MVP, Most Valuable Defensive Player and recieved the Gold Glove Award...Hockey (2003-06):  three-year letter winner...two time MVP...two time Honorable Mention...All-Conference 1st Team and All-Conference Academic Team junior year...ranked in Top 10 of Minnesota Goalies Poll senior year... was given The Outstanding Career Award.

PERSONAL:  Bryce Donald Szymanski...born on February 28, 1988...parents are Dave and Sue Szymanski, has two brothers, Todd (23) and a twin brother Bryant (20)...enjoys fishing and hunting with the family and volunteering throughout the community...came to Northland for its Natural Resources program and to play baseball...plans to major in Natural Resources.
