A native of Ashland, Wisconsin, Dick Joyal is entering his fifth year as an assistant for the LumberJacks, but that pales in comparison to the knowledge and perspective that Coach Joyal brings to the table. Dick has been involved with every baseball program in the community of Ashland at some point over the past 30 years. Coach Joyal was responsible for starting and carrying on the club program at Northland College for ten years along with being a pillar in the Ashland baseball community. Coach Joyal gives a direct line of knowledge to the recruiting base of Northern Wisconsin.
In his lone season in 2006 at Northland College, he went 7-3 on the mound with a 3.48 ERA, and was named to the UMAC All-Conference and All-Tournament Teams. Prior to coming to Northland, Lojpersberger played two years at Broome Community College in Binghamton, NY. In his two seasons, he compiled a record of 8-2 and was selected to play in the sophomore All-Star game and was named to the All-Region squad. A Hershey, PA native, Joe will graduate this spring with a degree in secondary physical education and a minor in history.
Panabaker is a fifth-year senior who will graduate this spring with a degree in Business Education. A transfer from McCook Community College in 2005, he was a two-year starter for the LumberJacks at 3rd base. Last season, he hit .231 in 32 games. He had three doubles, one triple and drove in 20 runs. He also appeared in five games on the mound and compiled a 1-1 record with one save.
Corey is also a fifth-year senior that will assist with the day-to-day operations. The Redwood Falls, MN native played two years at Ridgewater Community College before he transferred to Northland in 2005. In 2003, during his freshman season, Corey's team qualified for the Junior College World Series. As a junior utility player at Northland, Boe batted .309 and was named a 2nd Team All-Conference. Last season, Boe again played numerous positions and hit .260. Corey played five years of varsity baseball in high school and was an All-Conference performer four times. Corey is currently working as an assistant athletic trainer at Northland and also works at the Showtime Sports Baseball Camps in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Boe will graduate this spring with a major in physical education and a minor in coaching.
