The 5^th Annual Kernan, French, Bystrom Golf Classic was held at the beautiful Cherokee Country Club in Madison, Wisconsin. Nearly 40 alumni and friends of the College got together to show their support of Northland’s athletic programs and enjoy a round of golf.

This year, the round ended a little earlier than usual.  For the first time in sixteen years, the game was cancelled on account of rain and the foreboding sounds of tornado sirens.  Fortunately, we got a few holes in before it got too wet.  Those participating did enjoy a steak feast and ceremony with guest speakers: the president of Northland College, Karen Halbersleben, and the Assistant Athletic Director, Dan Roiger.

Fabulous prizes for the best golfers were generously donated from Harley Davidson, Guthrie Inc., WAK Enterprises, the NC Athletic Department, and the NC Alumni Department, with many thanks.

Thanks also goes to Bill Kountz of the class of 1965 and to Dennis Tiziani of the class of 1964 for hosting the event.

We're glad so many attended and we hope to see you and many more next year!
