Financial Support

"My family really pulled together as a team to help me through college.” - Denise Kontny ‘02

You can afford to complete your degree.  Let us help you develop a financial plan. Partners include:

  • Employer - Many employers have tuition support or flex time available for their employees.
  • Family - Your family participates directly or indirectly - a spouse, parents, or other family members may provide direct contributions to tuition charges, or they may participate more indirectly by giving you the time you need to study and complete your degree.
  • Federal Student Loans - Low interest loan programs, subsidized by the federal government and offered through Northland, are one of today's best values.
  • Veteran's Benefits - If you are currently serving in the military, or have served in the past, you may be eligible to receive financial assistance from the Federal and State Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Please contact the Northland College VA representative in the Registrar's Office (715) 682-1227 for details.
  • Grants - Federal and Wisconsin State grants, offered through Northland, are also available to qualifying students.
  • Northland College - Northland has individualized payment options available for you. Payment options allow you to plan college into your home budget.
  • Yourself - Invest in yourself. Education never depreciates and it does not rust. Students with a bachelor's degree have a stronger position in the job market.

Contact the Financial Aid Office (715) 682-1255 as soon as possible after you have been accepted to Northland to have an individualized financial aid package (including loans and any applicable grants) prepared for you. It may take six weeks to prepare a proposal for you. Be sure to file your FAFSA early. (A FAFSA can be filed prior to applying for admission.)
