Michael Myszewski, PhD, Des Moines, IARetired Professor of Biology, Drake University
Member of the Board of Trustees since 2005. Michael Myszewski is retired Professor of Biology, Drake University. Mike held the position of Professor of Biology at Drake University in Des Moines, until he retired as Chair of the Department of Biology in May of 2002. Mike directed the Drake University Honors Program from 1987 to 1997.
He served as a member of the Advisory Committee to the Birth Defects Institute of the Iowa State Department of Health from 1978 – 1999, and directed Clinical Cytogenetics Laboratories at Des Moines University and Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Mike is also a Founding Fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Nature Conservancy in Iowa.
Mike is Vice-Chair of Academic Affairs, and serves on Enrollment and Marketing Committees as well.
