Richard Burns is an attorney with Hanft Fride, P.A., in Duluth, Minnesota, practicing law in the areas of business transactions, employment law, estate planning and trusts and estates. Richard is a Fellow of the American College of the Trust and Estate Counsel and its Minnesota State Chair. Richard is a strong believer in community involvement. He was a founder and former Chair of the Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation, is a former Chair of the local United Way and recipient of its Distinguished Service Award, and is a past Chair of Miller-Dwan Medical Center.
Richard, along with his wife Elizabeth, are strong supporters of education. Together, they have endowed a scholarship at Northland, and have hosted events for the College in their home.
Richard chairs the Investment Committee, and serves on the Executive, Business Affairs and Enrollment & Marketing Committees.
